LEGOLAND Hotel Room

We’ve just got back from LEGOLAND® again so today’s post is a LEGOLAND Hotel Kingdom Room review. When booking this break I honestly thought I wouldn’t like the Kingdom Room as much as a LEGO Friends Room but was really surprised.

The Kingdom Rooms are rather lovely and so today I thought I would give you a tour and talk a bit about what we liked. If you are interested in seeing a LEGO Friends room, please read my LEGO Friends Room Review by clicking here. If you would like to find out more about the Kingdom Room we stayed in then please read on!

1. LEGOLAND HOTEL KINGDOM Room Review – WHICH LEGOLAND HOTEL IS THE KINGDOM ROOM BASED IN?

The Kingdom rooms are in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel.

As well as the Kingdom rooms, the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel has LEGO Friends, Ninjago, Pirate and Adventure themed rooms. There is also a LEGOLAND Castle Hotel with Wizards and Knights themed rooms. This hotel is a few steps from the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel.

I have some exciting news too – there’s a new LEGOLAND Woodland Village which you can read about by clicking below (ad):

I’ve also written a bit about the LEGOLAND Woodland Village, which you can read by clicking here.

2. How many beds are there in a LEGOLAND HOTEL KINGDOM room?

LEGOLAND Kingdom rooms have bunk beds, a pull-out trundle bed and a double bed, therefore sleep up to 5 people.

All of my family found the beds to be very comfy, especially my daughter, who chose to sleep on the top bunk as usual and thought this was really good fun!

3. LEGOLAND HOTEL KINGDOM Room Review – What amenities are in a LEGO KINGDOM room?

Each room has a bathroom with a shower and a bath, a vanity table, two TV’s (one in the main room and one on the kids room), and a wardrobe.

LEGO Kingdom rooms come with a lovely shower and bath (tried and tested by me), a vanity table, wardrobe, two TV’s, tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities and complimentary biscuits. There is also an in-room treasure hunt!

4. Are LEGOLAND HOTEL KINGDOM rooms clean?

We found our LEGOLAND Kingdom room to be extremely clean!

I’ve always found the rooms in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel to be incredibly spotless and clean. On this occasion I bumped into a staff member on the cleaning team and they were extremely friendly, asking how our stay was and wishing us all a good day. It was lovely to be greeted in such a way.

5. LEGOLAND KINGDOM Room Review – WhicH LEGO THEME IS featured?

LEGOLAND Kingdom rooms are all about knights, castles and royalty, and are perfect for our little princes and princesses!

There’s bunting, shields and flags above the beds and a seperate royal chamber for the kids. The brick themed TV unit in the children’s room has a game which reveals one of the answers for the treasure hunt too. It’s all very well thought out!

6. WHAT ARE THE LEGOLAND Hotel giftS?

When you stay in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel you get a few toys and gifts as part of an in-room treasure hunt.

What you are given depends on what time of year you stay I think. This time my daughter got a pencil, some activity sheets, a LEGO Train (which is awesome by the way!), a lanyard and a collectors badge.

The last time we stayed (Christmas time – you can read my Christmas review here), she got an Ollie plushie, a pencil, some activity sheets, a Santa LEGO Creator Set, a badge, a lanyard, a bag and a letter from Father Christmas.

If you would like to see the free Christmas gifts we received please read my LEGOLAND Santa Sleepover Review by clicking here.

7. IS THERE A LIFT IN THE LEGOLAND HOTEL?

The LEGOLAND Resort Hotel and the Castle Hotel both have several lifts which can take guests to all floors in the hotels.

I’m a massive fan of the lifts as they have themes with music playing. My daughter loves it when the lift stops at the LEGO Friends floor in the Resort Hotel because that’s her favourite LEGO theme. I must admit, we were totally wowed too.

8. HOW FAR IS THE CAR PARK FROM THE LEGOLAND HOTEL?

The LEGOLAND car park is minutes, if not seconds away from the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel and the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel.

It’s situated opposite the main entrances of the hotels and is in the perfect location. When we first visited LEGOLAND, this was my husbands question, as he’s the one who always goes back to collect the luggage.

9. DO I NEED TO PAY FOR PARKING AT LEGOLAND?

Parking is free at LEGOLAND when staying in one of their hotels.

We have never had to pay for parking when staying in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel and it’s the same if you are staying in the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel too. I’m assuming this will also be the case for those staying in the new Woodland Village as well.

10. WHAT ARE THE LEGOLAND HOTEL ROOM OPENING TIMES?

Check-in is at 4PM and guests get a text message to let them know when their room is ready.

I love getting that message as I can never wait to check-in to our LEGOLAND Hotel room. Every time we have stayed our room has been ready early too.

11. HOW DO YOU RECEIVE LEGOLAND HOTEL TICKETS?

Our E-tickets, including hotel check-in and theme park tickets were sent to us via e-mail.

We got an e-mail to say they were ready 10 days before our break. We could print them or use our phones to show the tickets on arrival. This included additional extras, such as the second day park tickets we had purchased.

12. WHEN CAN YOU BOOK LEGOLAND EXTRAS?

I booked our second day tickets when booking the hotel and first day park tickets, and the other additional extras later on.

Not that much later on though! I was able to book Bricks Restaurant for breakfast and dinner and our swimming slots almost straight away, on the same day as booking the hotel. If you are looking to book extras it’s definitely worth checking to see if the booking window is open.

13. IS THERE LEGOLAND HOTEL INSURANCE?

LEGOLAND offer insurance at the point of booking their breaks and it’s something I take out every time we go.

I’ve never had to use our LEGOLAND insurance but knowing we probably aren’t going to be out of pocket if we have to cancel gives me peace of mind.

LEGOLAND Hotel Kingdom Room Review Conclusion

I was really surprised to find that I loved staying in a Kingdom room. I didn’t think it could beat a LEGO Friends room but in a way, I think I liked it more. I can’t quite put my finger on why I liked it better but I did. I guess if I had to summarise, I would say it’s because it felt really cosy, if that makes sense!

Everyone in our family enjoyed the stay, especially our daughter who thought the bunk beds were fab and loved having a TV with a LEGO Friends channel in her room. Of course she thought the in-room treasure hunt was amazing and it was all she talked about before we arrived!

As usual, the rooms were very clean and the shower was powerful with a great temperature. The hot drinks facilities and yummy biscuits that were left in our room went down well, as did the wonderful LEGO themed gifts. Our daughter especially loved the LEGO train souvenir and the fact we could take home the bath product bottles. She’s been playing with those ever since!

We will be recommending our LEGOLAND Hotel Kingdom room to all our friends and family and, yep you’ve guessed it – we will be going back to LEGOLAND as soon as we can!
