1. When do LEGOLAND Christmas tickets go on sale?
LEGOLAND Christmas tickets are available now (ad)!
If you would like to book LEGOLAND Christmas tickets then my advice is to do so as soon as you can. We booked our Santa Sleepover break towards the end of August but by that point tickets and rooms were selling out fast (and were higher in price). I’m booking much earlier this year as we definitely don’t want to miss out!

2. Does LEGOLAND decorate for Christmas?
LEGOLAND is very festive at Christmas and the decorations look incredible, especially as it starts to get dark!
My favourite decorations are the festive LEGO Mini Figures dotted around the park. This year I spotted the snowman and reindeer from the LEGO Mini Series 23. I also clocked the LEGO Dragon Christmas Tree which is amazing and it’s lights look so good at night.

3. What rides are open at LEGOLAND during Christmas?
There are lots of rides open at LEGOLAND during Christmas time. The list below shows what was open during our break. Our little girl (who is four) particularly liked Merlin’s Challenge and The Dragon’s Apprentice (she made us ride it over and over again!).
LEGOLAND Express

4. Is LEGOLAND busy around Christmas?
LEGOLAND was not overly busy at christmas time when we visited.
One of the things that surprised us the most on our trip to LEGOLAND was that it wasn’t overly busy. The last time we went during summer it was quite busy and the queues for rides were long. This time we entered the park at 10AM and could jump on all the rides straight away. The queue times were short in the afternoon too. Not something we expected at all!

5. How long would you spend at LEGOLAND?
Two days is a good amount of time if you would like to see and do everything at your own pace.
We stayed in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel which I highly recommend if you would like to spend more than one day visiting the LEGOLAND theme park. I think two days in LEGOLAND is about right for us but that’s just my opinion based on the kind of things we like to do.

6. Is there anywhere to warm up at LEGOLAND if it’s cold or rains?
The Brick is a great place to warm up and shelter if it rains.
We went to The Brick which is a fairly new attraction included in the price of your park ticket. It has 100,000’s LEGO bricks which kids can play with and at Christmas you can also write a letter to Father Christmas and make your own LEGO decoration to put on their Christmas tree. In exchange you are then given a little package by the elves which has a festive buildable LEGO treat inside.
Another place we warmed up in was the Heartlake Cafe where we had hot chocolate, coffee and chocolate brownies. Later on we had lunch in the Skyline Bar which is in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel where we were staying. There are lots of places to warm up including restaurants, cafes and shops. I highly recommend downloading the LEGOLAND app or checking out their website for a full list of everything that will be available when you visit.

7. Is LEGOLAND good at Christmas?
LEGOLAND is amazing at Christmas!
LEGOLAND at Christmas Review – Conclusion
We loved every minute of our trip to LEGOLAND at Christmas. Infact, our daughter loved it so much she asked if we can stay there for one hundred weeks next time! Very funny as she is only four afterall. As well as the amazing Christmas decor, the restaurants and cafes and of course the rides, the highlight of our trip had to be the visit to see Father Christmas.
Father Christmas Visit upgrades are available at an additional cost and worth every penny in my opinion. Father Christmas spent ages chatting away with our daughter and really made her feel at ease. The grotto looked amazing, as did the whole of Christmas Kingdom where Father Christmas can be found.
